One for the Host

Your friendly host finally put a tournament in the bag. It took a see-saw heads-up battle with Don Jones, but after 3+ years of tournaments the deed is done.

In the final battle, Don and I slugged it out for over half and hour, with the chip lead changing hands 3 or 4 times, a dozen or more all-in moves, and surprisingly two hands that tied. In one case we both held , the other we had junk cards in the hole and both had to play the board.

In the end, my pocket 6s made trips, beating Don's which paired a on the flop. Had a appeared on the river, the hand would have resulted in the 3rd tie hand.
